It’s in the “little moments” Mama…

When your children think of their Mother, do they see Christ?

I often wonder, “how can I make sure that my children grow to be more Christ-like in their attitudes…”

I’ve realized, a huge part of that, is by and large, the countless “in between” moments that we share together…

You know…those easily overlooked moments? Like, when they accidentally spill their drink all over the table? Do you respond with gentle kindness? Or do you yell and grumble about the mess you have to clean up?

When you serve them food,  do you do it joyfully? Or do you impatiently hand them their plates (because you’ve been in the kitchen all day).

When they ask you to sit by them on their bed, late at night, because they want the comfort of you near them…do you do it willing and with love? Or huff and puff because you’re tired and just want to go to sleep?

It’s in the little moments, Mama…they all add up.

We can’t expect Sunday school teachers, or the greatest lessons on kindness and gentleness, or a YouTube kids video on fruit of the Spirit, to teach them these things…

WE should be a daily example of Christ to them…in the every day, little, mundane moments. Let the Holy Spirit stretch you and use you to minister to your children…He will use you…more than any book, video or Sunday school teacher, to help shape them and mold them.

He will use you to draw your children closer to Christ. Your role is so important. Don’t underestimate it.

The little moments matter, Mama. Every single “little” moment, matters.

May we be women who are so in sync with the Spirit, that we recognize when there is an “in-between” moment, where we can reflect Christ to our children…
