Seek discernment as you worship Him in spirit and in truth

“Worship Him in spirit and in truth”…

It doesn’t say “worship Him in cool lights and smoke machines…”

It doesn’t say “worship Him with nice sounding, catchy lyrics…”

It doesn’t say “worship Him with a gospel song that won an award…”

It says worship Him in SPIRIT and in TRUTH

In a day where we are easily swayed by emotions and catchy lyrics, and what worship group is “trending”…seek DISCERNMENT. Discernment to recognize counterfeit worship music from TRUE worship music.

Music was satan’s gifting. Just because a worship song is trending and catchy does NOT mean it’s anointed.

Emotional high does not equal anointed.

The Holy Spirit in you will recognize the anointing on a song. Seek discernment to recognize the counterfeit.

So much more to say on this…but for now, I’ll leave it as…

“The hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.”

John 4:23

As believers, we are always prayerful about who we listen to in regards to messages and sermons…

We listen to their words- do their words reflect sound Biblical truth and doctrine

We look at their life- does their life reflect good fruit, that Scripture says we should be producing?

Let’s agree to do that for those who lead us in worship…it’s just as necessary and needed.
