The only true freedom that you can experience, is in Christ

Are you fighting for “freedom of the people” or for people’s freedom in Christ?

I’ve seen such a surge of Christians pushing and posting for political freedoms and doing all that they can to save “America the great”

Trust me- I get it….I mean, we can pretty much all agree that what’s happening with certain agendas being pushed, is vile and detrimental.

…but we knew this would happen. Scripture tells us very clearly that the end times will be like pre-Noah days. It’s Sodom and Gomorrah all over again.

So instead of the overly enthusiastic upheaval to “revive America” (by believers)…what if we shifted our gaze towards things that are eternal- like souls.

So many people are passionately focused on the freedom that they want to preserve in America, all the while, soooo many people are still walking around in bondage to sin- they know nothing about freedom in Christ.

I get it guys, I do…I am also raising children (five of them) in a world where we have to dodge and weave from sooo much of the sickening agenda that is thrown at us DAILY…but even then, I have to remind myself- this world is temporary. This is not my home. This is not end game for us. My children’s salvation and spending eternity with our Heavenly Father, is end game. Running the race with endurance- that’s end game.

So I’m just here to remind you (and to offer some perspective)- do not get so consumed by the obvious evils of this world and “fighting them” for your freedom, that you negate the true work we are here for- fighting for people’s souls (by the power of the Holy Spirit), so that they can live expectantly in the freedom of Christ.

We do not need a “savior” from all of today’s current events- we already have one…His name is JESUS. Everything we do should be Kingdom-minded, and eternity focused. The things of this world WILL pass- we already know that. Focus on bringing as many souls with you to heaven. Serve your family joyfully, show up compassionately for your community, pray persistently, be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Jesus has already saved us friend. We don’t need a political party, person or politician to do so.

It’s not our job to hold onto what we’ve know in this world and fight for it to remain the same. It’s not going to. It IS our job, however, to run the race with endurance, until the end as we hold onto God’s promises.

Your job is to cover and care for, the people God has placed in your “tent”. Ensure you are all rooted in His Word, not easily swayed by the age that we are in. Be steadfast. Hold onto Him. Seek Him with your whole heart. He promises to take care of His children. Trust Him…He’s got you, He’s got your family.

John 8:12

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

2 Timothy 3:1-5

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.

Luke 21:36

But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Matthew 24:13

But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Matthew 24:37

For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
