Sometimes the “fruit of your hand” is simply being present

Here’s your reminder that it’s OK to check OUT from your mental checklist, in the midst of illness. All you need to be is still, and know that He is God- even in the heaviness that sickness brings.

Sometimes the least “productive” days are the ones that bear most fruit. Perhaps those are the days your children will remember you by the most…

They will remember that you sat with them……you stroked their hair…you sang them lullabies until they fell asleep or felt better.

Don’t let the looming, building, to-do list, pull you away from being present.

Don’t let the lie that “no work is being done” begin to cause you anxiety and frustrate you. Perhaps the most important work IS indeed, being done- tangibly showing the love of Jesus to your children, when they feel their lowest.

All 7 of us got hit with the virus.

So if you want to know where I am…you can find me here, covered in my babies, loving on them, choosing to check OUT from my checklist and pour INTO them.
